Solar chimneys are devices that use solar energy to generate a hot airflow can be used for power production, the drying of agricultural products, and/or water desalination. The performance small-scale chimney is studied numerically. computational domain includes chimney, ground, and atmosphere. turbulent simulated using commercial CFD code Ansys Fluent. only boundary conditions required simulation wind speed, ambient temperature, absorbed from determined by an balance in system. system was one day summer city Belo Horizonte, Brazil. crosswind plays important role velocity temperature. inside increased with increasing heat transfer decreasing When speed 0 10 m/s, outlet 1 4 temperature decreased 313 304 K.
